Science for a Green and Sustainable Society – Joint workshop organised by ESA and the DG-RTD of EC
The European Commission (EC) and the European Space Agency (ESA) came together, in January 2020, to launch a collaborative Earth System Science initiative. This year, mark your calendars from November 22 to 24, 2023, for they are organising a groundbreaking workshop, at ESA-ESRIN in Italy. This event will be a focal point for Earth System Science, covering critical themes like Ocean Observations, Carbon Cycles, Polar Changes, Climate Attribution, Agriculture and Biodiversity.
This event serves as a platform to review the latest advancements in Earth Observation and Earth System Science, showcase ESA and EC-funded projects, encourage networking and interdisciplinary collaboration, and explore funding opportunities for collaborative research that aims to address pressing global challenges.
MARCO-BOLO, a dynamic 4-year EC-funded project, stands at the forefront of Earth System Science, with its core focus on marine biodiversity data. To amplify our collective impact, we are excited to announce that one of our partners will represent MARCO-BOLO at this event!
Registration for this event is now open. To learn more about this initiative and register, visit the ESA-EC Joint Earth System Science Initiative.
