MARCO-BOLO to Feature in MARIPOLDATA Ocean Seminar Series Webinar

MARCO-BOLO is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming MARIPOLDATA Ocean Seminar Series webinar titled “Surveying Biodiversity Data Needs among Stakeholders.” Hosted by the University of Vienna, this seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, 15th May 2024, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM (CET).

Abstract: The webinar will focus on biodiversity monitoring, its integration into policy-making, and the challenges involved. Speakers from the University of Vienna, including Arne Langlet and Felix Wurm, both researchers in the MARCO-BOLO project, will present key findings from a survey conducted to understand stakeholders’ data needs and challenges.
Discussant: Nicolas Pade, coordinator of MARCO-BOLO, will provide valuable insights during the discussion session.

This seminar series offers a virtual platform for discussions on ocean governance issues, featuring presentations by international experts from academia, governments, and civil society. It aims to facilitate dialogue on recent publications in the field of ocean science and politics, focusing on ocean protection, sustainable development, and SDG14.
