ABOUT

The French National Center for Scientific Research is among the world’s leading research institutions. Its scientists explore the living world, matter, the Universe, and the functioning of human societies in order to meet the major challenges of today and tomorrow. Internationally recognized for the excellence of its scientific research, the CNRS is a reference in the world of research and development, as well as for the general public.

ROLE IN PROJECT

CNRS is providing validation of environmental DNA (eDNA)-based data and associated resources and proposing eDNA-based Essential Variables (EVs) for biomonitoring of multi-trophic communities (WP2); also the application of novel algorithms to remote sensing data to obtain EVs and detect pressures of biodiversity change with remote-sensing derived phytoplankton pigments information (WP4) as well as the creation of reproducible analytical workflows as part of WP5.
