BioAgora (July 2022 to June 2027), funded by the Horizon Europe programme, brings together scientists, policymakers, and other stakeholders to bridge the gap between biodiversity research and decision-making. It aims to develop a Science Service for Biodiversity, orchestrating processes and initiatives at the Science-Policy Interface in Europe. The project goes beyond existing practices by co-creating innovative ways to integrate science, practice, and policy. BioAgora will achieve its goals by developing the governance structure and systems model for the Science Service, implementing demonstration cases across EU Member States, analyzing existing Science-Policy Interfaces and biodiversity knowledge, providing tailored pathways for improved science-policy interactions, and building capacity within the research community and other stakeholders. Through engagement with policymakers, scientists, businesses, and citizens, BioAgora seeks to support a sustainable transformation for biodiversity in Europe.
