WORK PACKAGE 7: Project Management, Linkages and Communication

Work Package 7 will ensure the smooth execution of MARCO-BOLO and timely delivery of all outputs, by putting in place an effective governance structure and sound project management practices.

Provide effective and engaging communication around MARCO-BOLO and raising awareness of the projects aims, achievements and outputs.

Ensure sustainability and legacy of the project is integrated in all aspects of the project throughout its lifetime.

Raise awareness with European citizens on the importance of marine biodiversity to society.

Engage and collaborate with relevant projects and initiatives in Europe, identifying synergies for collaboration to strengthen MARCO-BOLO outputs and create additional added value from partner projects.

  • The MOD Alliance launched a webinar series in October 2024. The first webinar on The OceanOmics Program: Monitoring & Protecting Ocean Life was hosted by the DiverSea project..
  • The HORIZON projects: OBAMA-NEXT and GES4SEAS were invited to participate in the 2nd Co-design/Co-creation Workshop (WP6), thus reinforcing cross-collaboration in the field of marine biodiversity monitoring.
  • The second webinar of the MOD Alliance webinar series on Improving Biodiversity (meta)data flow: Standards and Strategies was hosted by the MARCO-BOLO project in February 2025.
  • The next MOD Alliance webinar will be hosted by the OBAMA-NEXT project in May 2025 on  Mapping blue forests and coastal habitats: A drone’s eye perspective. And three more MOD Alliance webinars are still to come in 2025.
