OCEANIDS is a two-and-a-half-year EU-funded project (Dec 2021 – July 2026) aiming to develop applications and tools to assist regional authorities and stakeholders in fostering a more resilient and inclusive blue economy in coastal areas. Central to this effort is the creation of a decision support tool known as the OCEANIDS Decision Support Platform. This platform aggregates and curates existing climate data services, making the data accessible for the development of local adaptation strategies. The project also emphasises inclusive and deliberative governance by facilitating engagement and dialogue between citizens and stakeholders. To achieve this, it employs case-specific tools such as social networks and harnesses local citizens’ assemblies for bottom-up deliberation, fostering a culture of civic engagement.
