WIN-BIG is a three-year EU-funded project (May 2023 – April 2026) aiming to make the European blue economy more gender-balanced and sustainable, in line with the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025. The WIN-BIG project, backed by the European Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund through the “Women in the Blue Economy” call for proposals, wants to fill the knowledge gap and promote capacity building strategies for women.
The project focuses on three highly technological and emerging blue economy sectors:
- Blue bioeconomy;
- Blue sports and sustainable tourism;
- Marine energy and robotics.
