SURIMI is a three-year EU-funded project aiming to develop social-ecological models and user-friendly solutions integrated within the Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) to address challenges faced by marine ecosystems such as increasing pressures from human activities, climate change, and pollution which complicate efforts to manage these environments sustainably. Current management strategies often lack comprehensive data integration and user-friendly tools for effective policy analysis. The complexity of socio-ecological interactions in marine systems requires advanced models and harmonised data to inform decision-making. Diverse stakeholders critically need interoperable solutions for efficient marine resource management.
